What is Round Dancing?
Round Dancing - Gone and Back

Round dancing is pure joy-delight in moving to good music, stress free, in the company of friends.

So, why have I left the warm and welcoming world of round dancers to pursue ballroom dance?

It is only for the mastery of technique of movement. This is proving to be much more difficult to achieve than I, an experienced and trained dancer, had foreseen.

I can only compare it to ice skating, where you can skate for fun- or knock your brains and body out trying to perfect and perform a double axel. Ballroom dance technique requires physical fitness, talent, and general athletic prowess that are not necessary for the pleasure of round dance.

I really miss dancing for the joy of it - and so - even at the expense of abandoning good footwork and body alignments, I will return to UTOPIA -the round dance world!

See you again soon.
